Advancing Women’s Empowerment and Community Health

The Sheetal L Foundation continues to implement structured interventions with measurable outcomes across each initiative in Maharashtra.

Strengthening Women’s Empowerment

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility commitment, the Sheetal L Foundation contributed ₹2,00,000 to Parivartan Mahila Sanstha. The contribution supports the holistic development and care of orphaned girls by enabling access to essential resources, structured care systems, and opportunities that build long term independence. This initiative reflects the Foundation’s focus on social upliftment through targeted institutional partnerships.

Vision India Program – Eye Care in schools

Under the Vision India program, the Foundation conducted eye screenings for more than 17,000 students to enable early detection of vision related issues that may affect learning and development.

  • Over 700 students received spectacles to correct refractive errors.

  • 628 students identified with serious eye conditions were referred for further evaluation, surgical intervention, and required medical treatment.

The program integrates screening, corrective eyecare distribution, and referral based care to reduce the risk of untreated vision impairment among school children.

Mobile Medical Unit – Early Childhood Intervention

Through its Mobile Medical Unit operating in the Dapoli and Neral regions, the Foundation conducted four dedicated health camps for Anganwadi and ZEP schools in Neral.

These camps provided primary healthcare services to more than 50 children in the 1 to 7 year age group, focusing on early screening, timely diagnosis, and necessary medical support. Early stage intervention plays a critical role in preventing complications and supporting healthy growth.

General Health Camps and Preventive Awareness

The Foundation organized 156 general health camps, benefiting 3,401 patients across communities with limited access to regular medical care.

In addition, 26 awareness sessions were conducted with participation exceeding 300 individuals. The sessions addressed key preventive health topics including menstrual hygiene, deworming, personal cleanliness, and rabies prevention. By combining treatment with awareness, the Foundation promotes sustained improvements in community health practices.

Sustained, Measurable Impact

Across women’s empowerment, school health, mobile medical outreach, and community awareness programs, the Sheetal L Foundation continues to focus on early intervention, access to essential services, and structured implementation.

With over 17,000 students screened, thousands of patients served, and institutional support extended to vulnerable girls, the Foundation’s work reflects consistent, outcome driven engagement at the grassroots level.
